Hello Dear Readers
Just starting my new blog here and thought I'd say hello and welcome. I've now sat here at my desk for several hours and did some workshop admin and number crunching - very dry. Earlier, my husband said: "Look, the sun is shining. Just go outside for a bit and get some air. You don't have to do everything today!" Well, I guess he's right; I will do as he says.
Sometimes it's a good idea to listen to others even if we generally don't like to be told what to do. Sometimes - just sometimes - they might actually be right! 🙂
Take care (now more than ever); until soon

Andrew Jamieson UKCP, a colleague of mine, and I have been running Jungian workshops since 2015. We have just relaunched ourselves as Lapis - The Bath Jung Circle, and we have welcomed Martin Gledhill MA (Jungian) into the Circle. Lapis means Stone, as in Lapis Philosophorum - the Philosopher's Stone - or The Stone of the Wise. It's about waking up and smelling the coffee, so to speak; about learning to connect to our inner wisdom and realising what really matters in life.
Last Saturday we ran our first online workshop, prompted by Covid. We talked about how we often keep repeating the same patterns, over and over again. We might say: "Why does this always happen to me? Why do my relationships always turn out the same way? Why do I keep running into the same problems, again and again?" - We can stay stuck our whole life. Or, we can realise that we can change, and if WE change, our lives will change. That we're not condemned to repeat the same old story for ever; we can learn to understand what the unconscious reasons are for this repetition. As soon as we understand, something shifts. But that's only the first step. There is so much to be discovered, and if we're willing to look really closely and do the work, things will change. There IS hope!
Wishing you a good week, lots of love
Judith
